I have to say that one disappointing aspect of Dragon*Con has been the utter lack of the major actors from the SW movies. This is no knock on D*C, if anything it's a statement about what has become of SW fandom.
A lot of the same actors were at D*C. Don't get me me wrong, they probably have great personal insight to share, but it's just a bit strange not having even any of the medium stars (and not even from the crappy prequel trilogy).
Is it that SW fans are jaded now? I don't think so. Not entirely. You see more people dressed in SW costumes than in Star Trek costumes at D*C. I think the fault lies with LucasArts. Once in a while they deign to include fans in some scrap of footage at an event, but only if it suits their marketing goals. |
